Samus - Metroid
I was wee when I found out that Samus was really a woman. I was reading one of the Super Mario comics, and there she was, being bad ass!
With the new release of Super Smash Bros, I was inspired to draw some of the characters from that. While I really really dislike what has been happening to Samus; Other M making her whinny and submissive and SSB giving her friggin’ space heels. SPACE HEELS! COME ON!
Ahem… Right. Even with that, I still have hope that she can return to being a badass who doesn’t need permission to use her missiles, she only needs her own common sense.

Strike a Pose!
February Doodle - Ro and Felix
I really wasn't feeling fanart today. I know I said it would be a month of it, but i really just wanted to draw these two. They are my OCs for a graphic novel I wanna make someday. Ro is the warrior, landing in a rather cliche sort of way, and Felix is just cheering her on.

Draconic Cuddle Puddle
February Love Doodle - Daenerys and her dragons
So I realized that I didn't have any motherly love doodles yet, and the first mother I thought of was Daenerys Mother of Dragons (the second was the mom from Brave). And so here is Daenerys taking a nap with her wee dragons!

I do it for the applause
February Love doodle - Kuranosuke and Tsukimi
When I first saw Jellyfish Princess (kuragehime) I instantly fell in love! And while the message (at least in the anime) is a little... off... (pretty much otaku women should dress nicer, but it's like putting on armor against the world. Pretty much put more care in your appearance, because it's a superficial world out there, and you don't want to be labeled and take advantage of, I guess) I agree, but I don't WANT to agree, ya know?)
In any case, the anime ends after one season, with no resolution. But I loved all the characters, especially Tsukimi and Kuranosuke! And so here's my version of a jellyfish dress n_n enjoy! And if you haven't seen Jellyfish Princess, and enjoy fluffy/slice-of-life animes, I would highly recommend it!

How many were there this time?
February Love Doodle - Xena and Gabrielle
Not going to lie, this one was tough. I knew I wanted Gaby to be fixing up Xena, but their faces! Oh gawd, their faces were so hard to get looking how I imagined... and honestly, I still don't like it 100%. I'll have to come back to it someday, but for now, here it is. I guess in the end, we always wish we could do better, inner critic never shuts up! But that's the point of this doodle a day thing, to keep drawing, work out rusty kinks.
