Bring on the Thunder!

Sailor Jupiter was my favorite of the sailor scouts when i was younger. I was also a tall girl, and kids seemed to judge me differently. I was a bit of a tom boy, but i liked baking, and flowers, and fantasizing about boys. Not to mention i had long brown hair i could put up in a pony tail!

It always bothered me when she would say Thunder Blast though... because thunder is a sound... and she was obviously using lightning... hmm.

The Brains

Awww Mercury... Her power really did suck in the beginning.. Really? Fog? Ooooo... Mars can shoot fire, Jupiter lightning, and you get... fog... But a plot device computer, so I guess it all evens out in the end!

I had the urge not too long ago to draw the sailor scouts in my style. I suppose it is only appropriate it's only fair to have the first sailor soldier be first! It was fun to draw, and to colour. Expect the rest of the gang over the next little bit n_n!

Doodle-a-day - Day 21 - Skywise

A little project I am thinking of starting. Elfquest was one of the first comics i really got into when i was younger. it got me into drawing, into comics, into art. I love Elfquest, and i fell in love with the characters. i was thinking of doing a little animated short based on one of the scenes from the story.

In any case, here is Skywise, my favorite character in the elfquest family. (i have a few, but he's right up there!) More to come! If you dont know elfquest, and like fantasy and a good story, go check it out at Eflquest website . You can read the comics online!

And we come to our last pony, AppleJack. She was fun to draw too. What will i draw next, no idea, but i have another 20-some hours to think it up!

Doodle-a-day - Day 06 - Velvet Rose

So for today's doodle, my friend Marie asked me to draw her alter ego. Man, i'm really digging the whole block colouring with different variations of the same colour. it makes a quick doodle look just a little bit better. Like adding textures. Yay little cheats!

Well, i asked for a theme and was supplied with "Draw the earth being taken over by giant rubber pigs"

Not gonna lie, the whole "King Washington" thing from AC3 trailer gave me inspiration.
